2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered through its content delivery network. Visitors in Europe are usually served from data centres in the EU (Frankfurt am Main).

When you open a page, Vercel processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time of the request, the requested address, referrer URL, browser type and operating system, and the HTTP status code. This data is needed to deliver the page, fix faults and protect the website against misuse and attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of this website. Vercel processes the data as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. We do not analyse the logs, combine them with other data or use them to identify you.

A transfer to the United States cannot be ruled out. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). The European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) apply in addition.

3. Audience measurement with Rybbit (no cookies)

To understand which guides are read, we use Rybbit, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It runs on a dedicated instance operated for us by a technical service provider acting as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Requests to it are routed through the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

When you open a page, Rybbit records the page address and title, the referring page, screen size, browser language, browser, operating system and device type, your approximate location (country and region, derived from your IP address) and clicks on links to other websites. Your IP address is not stored. Rybbit sets no cookies, and a script on this website prevents it from storing an identifier in your browser. The data is not combined with other data or used for advertising.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is data-minimal audience measurement to improve our guides. You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by writing to info@elenra.com.

4. Cookies and storage on your device

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner.

5. Contacting us by email

When you write to us, we process your email address, your name (if given) and the content of your message in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for requests relating to a contract. We delete the data once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Links to other websites

Our pieces link to their sources. Only when you click such a link do you leave this website; from then on, that provider's privacy policy applies.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires or statutory retention obligations demand (for example under Section 257 HGB and Section 147 AO). It is then deleted.

8. No automated decision-making

We make no automated individual decisions and create no profiles (Art. 22 GDPR).

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal email to info@elenra.com is enough.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you may object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
