Methodology

How pieces on Elenra are made: from the question to the sources to the update.

1. The question

Every piece starts from a question readers actually ask and answers it up front. Background and caveats follow.

2. The sources

We rely on primary sources first: peer-reviewed studies and systematic reviews, clinical guidelines, and the publications of public health bodies such as the WHO, the NHS, the NIH and the CDC. Every figure links to the place it comes from. Where no reliable source exists, we make no claim.

3. The comparison

The criteria for a comparison are set before any product or provider is assessed and apply to all of them equally. A dash in a table means the provider does not publish that figure.

4. The check

Before publication, every factual statement is checked against the source it cites. Statements that cannot be sourced are removed.

5. The update

Every piece shows its publication date and its last review date. When prices, rules or data change, the piece is revised and re-dated.

Corrections

Found an error or an outdated figure? Write to info@elenra.com, ideally with a link to the source. We check every report and correct the piece.
